I am generally interested in biogeography and macroecology but always keen to explore related fields such as wildlife management. My primary research method is species distribution modeling (SDM).
My goal is the improvement of SDM in terms of both accuracy and robustness. Currently, I focus on the effects of positional uncertainty, spatial heterogeneity and trends, model complexity, sampling bias, and intraspecific variation. Despite my methodological focus, I am always eager to apply SDM and related methods for management and conservation.
